Chicoreus cf loebbeckei (Kobelt, 1879)
70.3mm
The
single specimen figured below has been found at Kwajalein. It was in an octopus
pile of dead shells at a depth of about 70m on the seaward reef. While not as
elaborately frondose as Chicoreus loebbeckei from other areas, it appears
to have the same overall morphology, and the fronds may be simply worn away.
