Roi-Namur Island, Roi lagoon beach erosion

The eroding shoreline is visible along most of the Roi lagoon beach, with the old island cut back and trees falling on the beach. The first two photos are from November, 2013.

The same tree in July, 2014. It was uable to survive.

Also died by July of the next year.

The erosion of old island exposes the roots of the coconut palms.

Other shrubs were too close to the edge.
