This species of nudibranch is found in abundance in shallow coral spurs on the windward side of the East Reef. When winds are high and waves are strong, large chunks of sponge this nudibranch feeds on break off and tumble over the reef, often carrying the nudibranchs with them and ending up in the lagoon algae flats where many of the nudibranchs survive until the sponge "raft" they have clung to, is completely consumed. Glossodoris rufomarginata (ruddy margin) is slightly variable in color and this one was 20mm.
