Scooter blenny - Synchiropus morrisoni

Having adapted to sandy surge channels, this species of scooter blenny, Synchiropus morrisoni, "scoots" along the bottom of his territory. The males have a spectacular dorsal fin that remains folded down along his back, saving it to raise in late afternoon in courtship rituals. 30-40mm
