Many crinoids are host to small crinoid shrimp in the genus Laomenes. These variable shrimp often closely match their crinoid hosts in color and pattern, making species difficult to determine from just a photograph. This one seems to match photos we have seen of Laomenes amboinensis, but it would take a specimen in hand to confirm it.
