Doris pecten Collingwood, 1881
12mm

The presence of this small dark blue nudibranch was given away by the white egg mass laid on the wooden ribs of a wrecked ferry boat in Bethlehem channel. 10mm. WORMS and Molluscabase both list this species in the genus Doriopsis but retain Doris for the very similar Doris viridis. Until the situation is straightened out, we will follow Gosliner et al (2018) and stick with Doris for all three species.

Another was on blue sponge at Agahoto in 2016.

Several more were found at Mato Point and at Murals.

There are two in each of the next two photos.

With eggs.
