The photos on these pages were taken on five trips to Anilao, Batangas, the Philippines: 3 to 18 May 2015, 6 to 18 May 2016, 5 to 19 May 2017, 5 to 15 May 2018 and 25 April to 6 May 2019. All trips were based around Club Ocellaris.
Animals were not collected and no measuring device was used. Measurements are all eyeball estimates, usually of the largest specimen we observed.

Our IDs of the various Marionia species are still a work in progress. It is not clear to us how much variation might be found in some of the species. While some are easily recognized, others are difficult to distinguish from each other, and a number of those in the links below could be forms of one or a very few species.

Our thanks to the people at the resort Club Ocellaris: the friendly and helpful staff, always ready with meals when we returned (often late) from dives; the excellent boat operators and crews; and the terrific dive guides Peri and Alexis and others, without whom we would have seen far less. Thanks also to our fellow nudi-philic divers, all willing to share their finds so we could all see as many slugs as possible.
