Carminodoris flammea Fahey & Gosliner, 2003
40mm

The bright red middorsal band suggests Carminodoris flammea, although it is sometimes hard to distinguish them from C. bifurcata.

This pair was observed under a rock on the slope at Secret Garden. Although the larger one is somewhat darker than the original description, it was clearly associated with a smaller dark animal with a distinct middorsal red streak. Tentatively we are calling these C. flammea.
