This medium small nudibranch was found at night on plating sponge at the western end of the Bethlehem channel. It occupies the same kind of sponge (Phyllospongia lamellosa) as Asteronotus mimeticus and A. spongicolus, and could be a variation of one of those sometimes variable species.
