Polycera cf abei (Baba, 1960)
12mm

These from Batuniti resembled and may be variations of the one we are calling Polycera abei, which differs in its larger but fewer black spots and more distincely black anterior rhinophore tips. These were the only two we saw of this color form , and they had apparently been attracted to each other to form a pair. Without seeing many more specimens of either or both forms, it is not clear what the odds are of a pair of the same color form bonding, but it seemed safest to treat them separately for now. See the discussion under Polycera abei for remarks on the identification of that species.
