We saw several individuals of this unusual species, at least three at Bianca and one at Batu Merah.
The two animals below have been shown to belong to the same species. They exactly match the description by Gosliner & Johnson in Epstein et al (2018). We even have photos of the different color forms mating from the Philippines.
The next two photos show an animal with some spotting in the white margin similar to that seen in Hypselodoris apolegma, but we think this particular specimen should be included with H. iba.
