Another small Elysia, this species was found about six times on shallow lagoon reefs at Enewetak Atoll at depths of 4 to 5m between 1981 and 1983. So far we have found only a single specimen at Kwajalein under a rock on a shallow lagoon reef at a depth of about 6m on 20 September 2009 although another local Kwaj diver found them commonly on and under rocks in a reef quarry and on the shallow subtidal lagoon reef in late 2014/early 2015. It was also found at Majuro by Ken Cone and Beth Van Zummeren. Measurements ranged up to about 10mm. This looks like the species figured from South Africa as Elysia sp. 9 in Gosliner et al (2018). The first two shots below show the 2009 Kwajalein specimen.
The next three show some of the animals found and photographed by Christina Sylvester at Kwajalein in early 2015. The small one with the red blotches is unusual.
Here is the Majuro specimen.
The specimen below was one of the Enewetak specimens found in 1983.
