This unidentified species was initially known from a single specimen found underneath a rock at a depth of 6m on 24 November 2008. It measured 13mm in length.
Two more were found in Halimeda on a Kwajalein lagoon reef on 4 July 2011.
The next specimen looked similar to Elysia pusilla, but the papillose rhinophores tied it to the current species.
The white one below also appears to be this species. This one was found in a clump of Halimeda algae brought in from the seaward reef and placed into an aquarium. Keeping it supplied with fresh Halimeda, it more than doubled its size to about to about 13mm over a couple of months.
