This is an attractive nudibranch that we found fairly commonly at various sites throughout our Solomons travels. We recorded at least 25 specimens from the Russells, Savo, Nggela, and Guadalcanal. They were typically out in the open by day or night. Previously we had this as a form of Hypselodoris bullockii, but the page was corrected after it was described as a new species in Epstein et al (2018).

The two mating individuals below probably just put down the egg mass just above them.
