Pisania ignea (Gmelin, 1791)

Pisania ignea is a very active snail, common on many lagoon and pinnacle reefs, extending into the intertidal and reef quarries, where it is usually under rocks.

The shell below may be a very young juvenile. Later whorls of the shell would be smoother.
