Lamarcka ventricosa (Lamarck, 1819)
~100mm max

These were common under or on rocks and in ledges and caves on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs. Shells were often encrusted with sponges and other marine growth. Shells would often reach 100mm.

They were also commonly wedged into crevices in large heads of Porites corals.

Juvenile.
