Chama limbula Lamarck, 1819
77.1mm

This common clam has been called Chama iostoma, which the World Register of Marine Species says is a synonym for C. limbula. These are commonly found cemented to hard reef substrate on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs, even as shallow as the intertidal. The first three photos show empty clams attached to the reef.

Many were observed in the intertidal along the lagoon shore of Namur Island.
