Mitrella sp. 3

This shell is similar to the top figure of Mitrella rorida on gastropods.com, which is listed as a leucotype of Columbella pellucida, which is considered a synonym. The other shells on that Mitrella rorida page do not look like the same species. Also, our specimens are smaller and smoother on the shoulder. Our empty shells were brought up in sediment samples from about 61m on the seaward reef.
