Conus nigropunctatus Sowerby, 1858
Black-spotted cone, 31mm

This appears to closely match some of the figures of Conus nigropunctatus in gastropods.com. In shape, sculpture and habitat, they also resemble Conus catus and may be a variety of that species. Specimens were found in reef pockets at low tide on the intertidal reef.
