Vexillum cf diutenerum (Hervier, 1897)
12.9mm
Vexillum cf diutenerum is rare at Kwajalein,
known from single empty shell brought up in a sediment sample
from about 61m on the seaward slope. While the color and axial ribs appear similar
to V. diutenerum, at 12.9mm it was larger and considerably more elongate than
typical V. diutenerum. It seemed safest to treat it separately for
now.
