Pseudonebularia emaciata
(Dautzenberg & Bouge, 1923)
13.7mm
We originally
thought this might be a smooth and slender form of Pseudonebularia
lienardi, but our specimen matches exactly the syntype of P. emaciata
from the Museum Natural Histore National, Paris (lower photo below). There
are distinct differences between these and our P. lienardi. The single
specimen was found under a rock on the Kwajalein Atoll seaward reef at a depth
of 9m. We have no photo of the living animal.
Thanks
to Richard Salisbury for tracking down the name for this species.
