Nebularia ustulata
(Reeve, 1844)
56.3mm
Nebularia ustulata
is uncommon at Kwajalein
and is found on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs at depths of 10 to 25m. Most
often we see empty shells, although living animals can be found in small ledges
and caves at night. This species apparently comes in both narrow and wide forms,
but our experience is that the two forms do not overlap.
Below is a specimen of the narrow
form of this species.
