Nebularia ustulata (Reeve, 1844)

Nebularia ustulata is uncommon at Kwajalein and is found on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs at depths of 10 to 25m. Most often we see empty shells, although living animals can be found in small ledges and caves at night. This species apparently comes in both narrow and wide forms, but our experience is that the two forms do not overlap.

Below is a specimen of the narrow form of this species.
