Pterygia nucea (Gmelin, 1791)

Pterygia nucea is mostly rare at Kwajalein, but has been seen in a range of locations including intertidally and in reef quarries as well as on lagoon and seaward reefs. It lives in sand pockets, sometimes under rocks at depths down to about 6m.
