Imbricaria fulgetrum
(Reeve, 1844)
24.5mm
Imbricaria fulgetrum
uncommon to moderately rare, found primarily in fine lagoon sand at depths of
about 11 to at least 23m. Formerly considered a member of the genus Ziba,
this was moved to Imbricaria. I have not seen the reference, but I
would suspect this move was based on DNA data. Certainly the shell is an odd
looking Imbricaria.
