Mammilla melanostoma (Gmelin, 1791)

Mammilla melanostoma is moderately common in sandy areas in the lagoon. It has also been found in reef quarries and in the salt water pond on Ninni Island.

The mostly white shell has a red-brown operculum and black staining on the columella.
