Polinices mammilla (Linnaeus, 1758)

Polinices mammilla is a large pure white species found abundantly in lagoon sand from near the surface to at least 40m. It leaves on the sand's surface large, ruffled egg masses composed of sand and eggs held together by a rather strong mucus.

Preying upon the bivalve Lioconcha.
