Phenacovolva poppei Fehse, 2000

This
one is a bit of a puzzle. Although not exact, it most closely resembles variations
of P. poppei in Lorenz
& Fehse (2009), and the coloration of the shell also fits pretty well. If
it is that species, it extends the known range a considerable distance eastward.
The single specimen we have seen was on an Antipatharian at about 45m on the
steep seaward reef slope of Kwajalein Atoll on 15 June 2009.
