Iniforis cf violacea (Quoy
& Gaimard, 1834)
13.7mm
This
species has some similarities to what we are calling Iniforis
violacea,
particularly in general color and overall appearance. It differs in having an
extra spiral row of beads and a much differently colored animal. These have
been found on the seaward reef at depths exceeding 15m and empty shells have
been brought up from at least 60m.
