This
one is very similar to Mastonia
rubra, differing
primarily in the row of yellow nodules on each whorl. Cernohorsky
(1978) states that some specimens of Mastonia rubra have a similar
row of yellow bumps. These are moderately common on lagoon and pinnacle reef
from 3 to about 20m.
