Centropyge multifasciata (Smith & Radcliffe, 1911)
Multibar angelfish

In the Marshalls, this species prefers the deeper slopes of the seaward reef, although we have seen an occasional specimen hiding in surge channel honeycomb caves as shallow as about 13m. Most often they live at 30m and deeper. They tend to be rather shy of divers, and usually do not hang around for a photo session.
