Mirolabrichthys pascalus is the most common shallow-water anthiid at Kwaj. They are abundant on the seaward reef, usually around the knee of the dropoff. They are also common on some lagoon pinnacles, particularly the ones near deep reef passes. The males differ from the females in developing a more pointed snout and bright red on their dorsal fins.
Juveniles school in ledges and small caves and around coral.
