This cardinalfish was photographed by Stan Jazwinski on the Kwajalein Atoll western seaward reef slope at night.
A second specimen was photographed by Jay Lord inside the hold of one of the Kwajalein lagoon bottom shipwrecks at a depth of about 40m.
