Cirripectes variolosus (Valenciennes, 1836)
Red-speckled Blenny, 8.9cm

These are common on a variety of lagoon and seaward reefs, where they usually dart into holes at the approach of divers. They appear to come in light and dark forms, both showing the red spots or streaks on the face.
