Exallias brevis (Kner, 1868)
Leopard Blenny, 14.5 cm

These large but rather shy blennies typically live on seaward and lagoon reefs in large colonies of the branch coral Pocillopora eydouxi or in mixed coral areas with lots of holes and hiding places. There is some color variation between sexes, the male shown in the first photo below.

Females have a more regular spotted pattern.

Typical habitats on coral rich reefs or in Pocillopora colonies.
