Rhabdoblennius rhabdotrachelus (Fowler & Ball, 1924)

These two small blennies were photographed by Christina Sylvester in shallow water at the tops of the Kwajalein reef quarries, where they were apparently depositing and fertilizing eggs in a small hole in the reef. We have found few references showing coloration of this species, but the female at least is pretty close to a specimen from Eniwetak Atoll, Marshall Islands, on Fishbase.
