This brittlestar is rarely found under rocks on Kwajalein Atoll lagoon and seaward reefs. The ID to genus is highly tentative. While the color is close to what we call Ophiomastix sp. 2, the distinct scale-like plates on the tops of the arms look more like Breviturma. They also resemble Ophiomastix mixta and could be young specimens.
