Fimbriaphyllia ancora or sausage coral is uncommon at Kwajalein, typically found in small colonies on lagoon reefs and pinnacles in the mid atoll range, as well as occasionally elsewhere. A large clump of colonies first noticed in October 1997 in the saddle of the pinnacle known as Twin Peaks diminshed and apparently vanished over a period of several years and could not be found after about 2005.
