This file may be a mostly black species we occasionally see at a distance but have a hard time getting close enough to take a photo. This individual was hiding under a rock and froze for a few moments when exposed, just enough time to get a couple of shots off. The genus is just a guess based on shape. References we have checked do not seem to illustrate a nearly all black species with white tufts coming out of the body, so for now this one remains unidentified.
