Acotylean flatworm sp. 4
40mm

This flatworm is medium sized and known in the Marshalls from two specimens, the first found under rocks on the seaward side of Ninni Island and the second on a large midlagoon pinnacle reef. It is mostly opaque white and rather thick for a flatworm, and appeared to slip over obstacles as though it was thick liquid.

On the second specimen, the black speckled dorsal tentacles appeared further back on the dorsum.

After being disturbed, it looked as though the flatworm secreted a purple fluid, possibly a defensive chemical.
