Cestoplana sp. 1
300+mm

The two separate specimens figured below were found under rocks on Kwajalein lagoon pinnacles and the seaward reef. A very long species, it is often wrapped up in a ball when first seen. To get out of the light, the head end starts slithering away, unrolling the ball as it goes until the entire worm may be stretched out.
