Paraplanocera sp. 2

This is one of my favorite flatworms. We have found it only a few times, usually in Halimeda patches on lagoon reefs. Like Paraplanocera sp. 1, sp. 2 is a fast-moving flatworm that often "walks" by lifting up the edges of its margin and taking steps.

This one was under a rock on a large midlagoon pinnacle.

The one below appears to be a small juvenile of Paraplanocera sp. 2.
