This medium to large flatworm is found in a variety of seaward, pinnacle and lagoon reef habitats, usually under rocks. It ranges from light to dark with varying numbers of white spots, but it is possible that all those we figure may not be the same species. The darker ones in particular seem a close match to the animal figured in the Newman & Cannon (CD) as Pseudobiceros sp. 3. It appears to me that the color of those on this page merge with the one we are calling Bulaceros newcannorum. However, I must presume that the authors examined the anatomy of their specimens of Pseudobiceros sp. 3 and determined it was Pseudobiceros (paired male reproductive system) rather than Bulaceros (single reproductive system).
The next two photos may be juveniles of this species found by Ken Cone and Beth Van Zummeren in Majuro Atoll.
