Pseudobiceros uniarborensis Newman & Cannon, 1994

Although varying in dorsal coloration, the marginal banding of white, translucent light brown, orange and black is the key to identifying this species. Our specimens were found under rocks or in algae patches on lagoon, pinnacle and seaward reefs. While a recent work by Bolaņos et al (2016) suggests P. uniarborensis is a junior synonym of P. hancockanus, the World Register of Marine Species (WORMS) has not yet picked it up and still lists the former as valid, so we are retaining that name for the time being.
