Thysanozoon nigropapillosum (Hyman, 1959)
45mm

This is a recently re-identified species whose name was in doubt because the original description had apparently reversed the colors, saying it had white tipped warts and a yellow margin. It is a relatively common medium sized species usually found in the open or in surge channel ledges on the seaward reef. It is also seen regularly exposed on the reef on lagoon reefs and pinnacles.

Often it can be found swimming through the water.
