Samariscus triocellatus Woods, 1960
Threespot flounder, 10cm

Samariscus triocellatus is usually found in sandy seaward reef surge channels, but it is infrequently seen due to its small size and ability to blend in with its typical flake sand background. They are easier to see if you can get them on a more solid colored background. The biggest ones we have seen were about 50 to 60mm long.

Often hard to spot on its usually habitat on flake sand.
