Eviota nebulosa Smith, 1958
Nebulous dwarfgoby

This identification is uncertain. The 10mm specimens immediately below, photographed by Christina Sylvester, have brighter color and more distinct markings than other published photos of E. nebulosa we have seen. It has some resemblance to Eviota lateritea known from New Caledonia, but is not an exact match to that one either.

This Eviota nebulosa was photographed by Jay Lord on a shipwreck in about 16m of water on the lagoon side of Kwajalein Island. It seems a little closer to other published figures of this species.
