Ornate goby

Istigobius ornatus is a shallow lagoon species. The photos below are all from Stan Jazwinski, the first from about the middle of Kwajalein Island's lagoon shore and the second from the Kwaj marina.

Stan Jazwinski reports these as very common in about 1/3rd of a meter of water at low tide on the hard reef flat under boulders at Beran Island, Ailinglaplap Atoll.
