Doryrhamphus excisus Kaup, 1856

Doryrhamphus excisus is a small species usually found under large rocks on lagoon and seaward reefs. It is also occasionally in small caves, where it usually swims upside down against the ceiling.

A group sleeping agains the wall of a small caves at night.
