Eurypegasus draconis is rarely seen in the Marshalls. We have found only two specimens, a small dark one on sand in Kwajalein harbor at a depth of about 2m and the other on the sandy lagoon slope near the island of Gugeegue. At least one or two other specimens have been found by divers near Emon Beach on the lagoon side of Kwajalein Islands. The pectoral fins spread out like wings, hence the common name of sea moth.
