Lethrinus microdon Valenciennes, 1830
Smalltooth emperor, 80cm

Lethrinus microdon was found and photographed by Jay Lord on the lagoon side of Kwajalein Island. Like some other Lethrinus, these can change their pattern. This is the more mottled phase. It can also be more uniformly silvery gray, sometimes with darker blotches.
